What can be said about the girl who's biography isn't even listed online? Ha. The name is Doutzen (like Dow-tzen) Kroes (like Cruise). I'm 24,from Eastermar and I'm a model.
I don't have this long amazing journey into modeling to talk about like some of the girls I work with. I grew up in the Netherlands (Friesland), made good grades and graduated, pretty simple, no? Growing up, i had always loved fashion and dressing up, playing with makeup. I was fortunate enough to have a certain "look" about me that garnered me a few remarks about trying out for modeling. After thinking it over for a while, I decided to give it a shot, get some pictures taken and maile them off to an agency. I mailed them in to Paparazzi in Amsterdam, and the rest is basically history. I was flown to Amsterdam where I took some test shots. I was told that I'd be hearing from them soon.
Shortly after that, I had gotten work with Calvin Klein, later becoming their spokesmodel. After Calvin Klein, I got to work with Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Versace, the list goes on and on.
In 2005, I was selected to be apart of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It went so well, they had me come back and do it again the following year AND in 2008. One year ago (as of august), Victoria's Secret added me on as one of their Angels; and I had the privlage of working my first campaign, "Supermodel Obsession" with the ever so lovely Adriana Lima.
Now that that is out of the way, I LOve dancing, jogging on the beach, especially early in the morning when theres no one else around. Something about being one with the water and the birds. I like surfing, although I'm not very good at it. And I love ice skating...well, speed skating to be more specific. I was really good at it. So good, I had done it competitively for a little while, but I like modeling more than speed skating. I also love to cook! Ask any of my friends, whenever they come over, I cook for them and we watch movies. I'm a pig but I make sure that when I pig out, I make up for it with a good workout, whatever it may be.
I guess that's me in a nutshell..
i do not understand that saying, "in a nutshell" I like it but I don't get it, haha. I'm a little new when it comes to things like that.
I'm fun, friendly, a little random but thats what people like about me.
